I'm thinking of making a camping car as the player haven, so you always have the computer and mailbox on the hub where you're currently active. But I can't get the hang of Hammer.
Could someone build an interior map to fit into one of the existing car models like the VW microbus or maybe "Larry's truck o' mac".
What the haven needs is a resting place, desk (with drawer) for the laptop, radio, mailbox, maybe a fridge and, if possible, the TV, although that would require creating the news studio somewhere on the map.
I'd prefer to have most of the furniture as dynaic props, not baked into the map, so it's easier to change things.

A bus will be hard to use, because with the chair you will have no room for desk and so...
If you want Larry's truck, I can make it, but I think will be to small.
If you want to replace larry's truck model for another bigger, I have learned how to convert models from half-life2 and others source engine games. Take a look in www.gamebanana.com, choose one and we can create the inside.

There wouldn't be much space, that's true. But assuming it belonged to the sire we don't have the need for a toilet or similar. The bed could be a small plank above the desk. Unless they are very big (and expensive) mobile homes, camping cars are a cramped affair. ;-)
And I think of it mostly as an addition to the normal haven, not a replacement. Especially for Nosferatu and Tremere who have to do the whole downtown part with the haven still in Santa Monica.

gamebanana has searching options yes... you can use the word "vehicles", or look in several source engine game looking in the section "prefabs"

Hub map is fixed, only some random crashes, (1 of 20 loads)

Do you know how to convert this? I downloaded it but when I tried to apply a texture file I had no idea how to do it :I

I was thinking about another idea for a while. The open season level used in the UP Plus the song also meant for the scrapped Latino hub. So I was thinking: why not instead place that level in the Latino hub? It can make also be implemented the haven Jack took you is instead your house as you were human, specially that one in the intro scene. Replace the Asylum entrance out the window with the Latino hub and voilà :D

Barabbah, I can try converting this model (I don't know if will work), but I can try.
The models with higher % of being converted are from half-life2. Just take a look in the section "weapons" of half-life 2 in gamebanana and tell me if you find something good.
You can try any other source engine game and I can try the conversion.

If you want to help me reskining, I will be very pleased if you can retexture the nazi soldier model. If you have the first install of ww2 is modelscharacternpccommonbrujah_3.

I will be very happy, because I hate it, in my opinion is the worst of the mod...
If you manage to do something I can replace it in the next public version of the mod (coming probably next month)

The smartest way to do this would to make a separate map for the truck's interior. Then enable and disable the truck and it's door in the hub with scripting.
The panel truck's interior is around 144 units long, 92 units wide and 103 units high. So all of the standard thing in player homes could fit, but few of them could be combined like the tv and computer.

To argikt: When I'll have a stabler internet connection I'll do it (at maximum the next week)

About that model, I don't need actually that model but something that resembles this:
I already downloaded it and opened it with the kHED editor of the Bloodlines SDK (it was in .obj format) but I ran in some issues: apart implementing the textures, which I don't know how to make it work, I couldn't export to .mdl since it gave me the error "studiomdl.exe from Half-Life SDK not found (ecc. ecc.)".

I realized that I don't have both the demo and an Internet connection which can let me download 800 MB without switching me off until next month. Can you instead send me your texture files (and also the model if you modded it)?

I really love your idea! I really hope it succeeds, it's such a cool idea for a mod. Surprised no one else wanted to try their hand at making a haven mod. The site is a tad unwieldy but you get used to it. Searchbar is at the top next to the pokeball, I searched for "bus" and "truck" and got some results. Couldn't find anything from HF2 though, and not sure if these would be to your liking or if they can be converted easily.

Those models can be converted - used in bloodlines, but counter strike models are low poly, (specially you can notice in the first truck).
If you keep digging you can find better models (specially in half-life 2 section), search "vehicles", "truck", "prefabs"...
There's a guy called s.t.a.l.k.e.r. that did a very high quality models for a chernovil campaign conversion. (those are the bests)

This is wrong. You should to export opened model into Source's/Half-Life .SMD and then compile that SMD with "Model Compiler" tool from the SDK.
You need latest SDK to compile models directly from SMD without writing QC scripts.

Also, you can't use converted items as weapons because the SDK model compiler has lack of some MDL format features and physics. It may be used only for compiling environmental models without animations.
