Are you going to complete it this time? All things aside I don't think I can handle another Bloodlines related disappointment. I do hope the wrong tone does not come through.

That's the idea, man. Unfortunately things don't always work out how we want...

My intentions are set on completion of a mod, yeah. I don't like unfinished business.

I will keep posting videos and stuff etc. of what I've done every so often. It's fun to have some input during the whole process.

I just decided to put 3Dell's silver interface back into it... I don't think I'll make it purple this time... Silver is just right. And, since it's a pain in the neck I don't want to deal with later, I'm already working on another animated blood bar too.

Huh, I've got an issue with the blood bar that I thought I fixed the last time around but I can't remember.

Basically, when the blood bar is full (15 points), it stops doing the animation. If it drops to 14 points or less, it animates.

I guess the idea is that if it's full, the blood is pressurized in the vial on the screen so it's not squirming around? Lol I have no idea.

I'd prefer if the blood kept squirming even when it's full.

Here's a video of what I mean (wait until after I unpause it from the console)

[vimeo]https://vimeo.com/237274894[/vimeo]

and because embedded videos aren't working for me on this forum

I think this is the normal behaviour as it happens for me too...

Oh ok. In that case I'll leave it. Gotta do the health bar now...

Aww, there's a little bit of the health bar peeking under the interface into the other part.

Crap. I'm gonna have to batch draw strips of pink pixels over it to match the original's curve so it doesn't do that.

*writes batch file then reconverts pink to transparency*

Not a bad title screen. ;)
Though the visuals are interesting (or to be more precise striking), I like what you have done with the music: fade in and out effect plus an eerie, gruff voice. Maybe you could consider adding whispers?
Me: "I love lollipops!"
WoD ST: "We don't allow lollipops, because we are too dark!"

Cool idea, I may just add that. More flavor

Definitely but actually what is slowing me down is the soundtrack itself. I have a lot of music to sift through to decide what goes where...

If I may make a recommendation:

Music from the Succubus Club was a 2000 audio CD release containing 13 tracks, each representing one of the 13 clans. Might be stuff there you'd like to use.

Ok I went a different direction with the title screen ambience than I was thinking when I got that suggestion about whispers.

At first I was going to put little girl whispers in quietly chattering but...nah. It just doesn't sound how I want it to. Then it occurred to me to use male whispers but no. It didn't sound how I wanted.

So I did this instead.

[vimeo]https://vimeo.com/237383965[/vimeo]

, if the above doesn't work in these forums as it seems not to for me

much of the added ambience is really quiet as in, if you don't have cranked up headphones you'll probably miss it:

1- the sound the actual moon makes in electromagnetic frequencies (not air vibrations, it's in space without atmosphere lmao)
2- the sound of a giant unidentified creature from the bottom of the pacific ocean somewhere
3- the sound of a real exorcism being performed on a girl who died young
4- the sound of operation Wandering Soul from viet nam, when they would try to terrify the enemy with sounds of buddhist funeral music set to the audio of a man claiming he is dead (they'd blast it through the dark hours of the night)
5- the sound of Apollo 10 when they were on the far side of the moon (the side of the moon we never get to see from earth because the moon is weird and always faces us with the same side)
6- drip sounds

and yes the video is crapola since I went into options and I haven't recolored that damn brown interface yet LOL, so nasty looking haha.

k the volume was screwed in-game because I hadn't improved the sound settings yet...so everything sounded quiet. I always apply Normalization to add gain to all tracks I put in... but the sound settings were basically nullifying that and making it quiet, heh

Anyway here's the video again plus the music I chose for the character sheet screen.

title screen:

character sheet (barely anything done with it):
[vimeo]https://vimeo.com/237413011[/vimeo]

Moon Mod has gotta be weird or I'd just go back and add more weird. Basic strategy is to power through all the stuff I wanna change, change it the minimum to where I'm OK with it, then move on. Then later I can go back and intensify the details.  Gotta get stuff done :|

Damn, just to fix the little problem with the health bar sticking out into parts of the interface it shouldn't, I had to apply the following command to 900 png frame files lmao:

Code: [Select]
mkdir batch_frames
FOR %%G IN (*.png) DO convert %%G -fill #FF00FF -draw "line 43,447 43,466" -fill #FF00FF -draw "line 42,447 42,466" -fill #FF00FF -draw "line 41,447 41,466" -fill #FF00FF -draw "line 40,448 40,466" -fill #FF00FF -draw "line 39,448 39,466" -fill #FF00FF -draw "line 38,449 38,466" -fill #FF00FF -draw "line 37,450 37,466" -fill #FF00FF -draw "line 36,450 36,466" -fill #FF00FF -draw "line 35,451 35,466" -fill #FF00FF -draw "line 34,452 34,466" -fill #FF00FF -draw "line 33,453 33,466" -fill #FF00FF -draw "line 32,454 32,466" -fill #FF00FF -draw "line 31,454 31,466" -fill #FF00FF -draw "line 30,455 30,466" -fill #FF00FF -draw "line 29,456 29,466" -fill #FF00FF -draw "line 28,457 28,466" -fill #FF00FF -draw "line 27,458 27,466" -fill #FF00FF -draw "line 26,459 26,466" -fill #FF00FF -draw "line 25,460 25,466" -fill #FF00FF -draw "line 24,462 24,466" -fill #FF00FF -draw "line 23,463 23,466" -fill #FF00FF -draw "line 22,464 22,466" -fill #FF00FF -draw "line 21,465 21,466" batch_frames\%%G

This smears over the blue part that sticks out with bright pink, which I then change again to transparent color...then it doesn't show up in-game. Making stuff happen in this game takes effort

Anyway health bar appears to be fixed except ?? the health bar has a black background when it drops, whereas the blood bar is transparent background when it drops.... umm. I don't care that much but what's goin on there is that the way the game is normally?

I tweaked the menu screen music again but Vimeo is really slow in replacing the video..

I'd re-upload but Vimeo appears to be frozen with traffic for its video upload lineup. Later then

Edit: it's still shooting a blue piece out of the corner when the health drops....annoying. I think I can modify the interface with RGB 1 1 1 instead of black and just hide it, sheesh. I wonder if the original game graphics do this because my bar is exactly the same as the one that comes with 3Dell's silver interface? Or do they both do this lol
