I need help with modeling. [blender / compiling model]
« on: March 26, 2019, 11:25:24 AM »
Greetings kindreds, I always dreamed about making models to games. I started learning blender and after few months I have tried to import model from blender to VTMB. I have read the "Mod Development Guide" but instructions are unclear. I tried to use vtmb SDK to decompile model but it haved worked for me because Im using win10. Then I used crowbar software to decompile model and import to the blender. So when I have finished mixing model and rigging bones I have no idea how to import it right now to the game. I know that I missing "qc" file but I dont know how to get it. Please if you have skill and you have done it before, answer me and describe what Im doing wrong and what I need to do.

And sorry for my language, Im not native speaker.
In attachment I have uploaded the screenshot from blender.

I'm not sure if this info helps you.
qc file is the one of the output files of the SKD "model decompiler"

Now, open the model compiler, select the .qc and try differents options  (ussually with verbose mode for read the log)

if the result is success, the resulting mdl file will be placed in the your default bloodlines path. (you can see the path in the log)

I'm not the best to awnsering those questions, there're people with more knowledge, but I think you have a vertx problem. You can move polys but not add or remove them... dont change the number...
Someone else can explain it better than me

Yeah I know, I have read the scirpt with tutorials but still i just tried to to compile vanilla model (without any changes). And I wonder how in other mods like antributu or clan quest they have added totally new models. Well I just need to wait for a right answer

As far as I know they obtain them as a "duplicate" model place on top of another. For example, to bishop vick they added a modified copy of the armor3 malk, completely transparent except  for the raincoat and a shortened hat. On the map files where that NPC is featured it was added a script which adds the "duplicate" on top on the original NPC

I hope you figure it out. A hooded Nosferatu model is long overdue, i really don't like the whole BDSM thing they got going on in Bloodlines.

Nope :( ,yeah i wanted to make more casual outfit for nosferatu, like from Redemption. But compiler is not working for me even with vanilla unmodded model.
