@Wesp5 not that i'm aware, i changed the Models of Citizen and Dancer characters.
when i remove the textures and upload only the swapped models it works. i don't think i touched anything besides them, i only do the graphical side of this.

Maybe the textures you've created are too big in resolution for the game to handle.I understand it might be not ideal for an HD project but try to lower the dimension of the textures.

i think ur right, when i disable the folders for the Citizens and Dancerfem1- just the textures it works.

i just did another run of loads and it does the same thing with the beach and then i disabled the textures in Citizens again and it did upload.

so it's 100% the textures.
i need to figure out what's wrong / what's the limit

OK! i'm updating everyone.


So i did Santa Monica- i didn't do the outside of the buildings mainly becase they are far away and kinda look good already with the pack.
if i'll finish the project and i'll want to revisit more textures- i will. but for now, SM is done.


I need to figure out the bug texture limit. it is 100% the texture, now that i did heather again, it crashed.
it might be too much because i add Bump and Reflection maps to each model.


So in the next week i'll try to figure out the bugs and once it loads properly i'll do a run/play and i'll record a video for you guys and i'll show you progress.


The question- Should i upload it already to the nexus and update as i go OR Should i only upload the thing once i'm done with the whole game?
what do you think?

Go for Nexus, label it as a WIP. It's useful to have some feedback in the early stages

But there's a bigger issue,
i think i have already got to the maximum usage of textures or something

it seems the game crashes on loading maps from other maps.
like i can load a map from the Loading screen but i can't load a Ingame.
i'm unsure on what to do, i will need to decide on what i can do without.

It seems like if i use 4k textures on the bums in the game or Citizens it somehow effects going into the Asylum.
and i added reflection and bump maps.

So i'm unsure on what to do and what is my limit.

i MIGHT do regular NPCs as only texture and only a few main characters with bump. it was so much work to do everything i'm so bummed about this loading thing....

i think the game currently can support OR characters OR world but not both, like in a very limited way. so an actual overhaul it not possible,
a revamp, YES. i'll figure out the limits, so i'm updating. sadly.

ALSO- an odd example

i reduced the Blueblood character's textures.
i can enter the asylum.

But when i walk around santa Monica, next to the reduced textures blueblood and then go into the asylum
asylum crashes the game.

So something is very off and i don't fully understand what crashes it.
i have to fix those bugs in order to do a playthrough and load the pack online.
if you guys have any guidelines... perhaps i can go through them

OK i found how to balance everything.

there are a few things i want to revise but SM is done.

@Wesp5 @thewarsend @malkav @Barabbah

Last question-

1. These pickup particles, Where the hell are they? i've been combing the game and i can't figure it out. can you?
2. the red / green coloring of a model, is this a MAP thing or a TEXTURE thing?
