Why are you working on the eyes in the first place? The patch already includes an updated eye mod and there are much worse textures to fix...

Update
so apperantly there's this CLAP T and S
i enabled them but now i get this odd dark line, you can see the eye on the left vs the right

BTW i THOUGHT i already created the eyes but i forgot to originally convert them! so silly me.
so this was a problem for me from the beginning.

i have to resolve this somehow.

If anyone has an idea why is there a dark line... please tell me


I don't know, maybe you should add some more border, otherwise the edge of the iris texture is stretched as a line

don't worry. this project is in good hands. my reasons are:

1. there are no colored contacts or specific colors i want or pupil sizes.
2. on the patch's eyes there are highlights painted in which look unnatural.
3. the iris's radius is too small.
4. the surrounding edge is white which means, it makes all characters look surprised once they look at you. because it's like you see the TOP of the iris all the time, like they are REALLY opening their eyes at you. very unnatural.

so no- they are Not great textures they are ok.


They are however GLOBAL textures.
so fixing them once will fix all the eyes AND will give me more options to play with as a i can add custom eyes.

BUT QUESTION-
the eyes glisten too much, i would like to tone it down. it's too harsh.
ifs it possible to edit it?

You might look at the original eyes, which glisten less. I think the main target if the eye mod was to make the eyes look less dead!

i know, the glistening is awesome
but it's too harsh, it needs about 30% opacity/less.
when in the dark you can see the brightness too harshly, it makes the eyes look creepy in humans.

so again, not dissing your work, you do not need to defend it. it's amazing.
it's great. i'm asking if it's possible to rework it or not.
which i asked now 3 times and i didn't get a response towards.

Oh, it's not my work. It's another mod I just included with the patch, therefore I can't answer your questions...

ok awesome! i reworked the textures yesturday and it looks great, i'm closer to finish the asylum characters

General note: i'm working on it, i'm still on characters of SM but i'm also doing many of the Common ones.
but i don't have questions so- i'm working on it. i'm just "radio silent" it's progressing.

i hope soon i'll wrap the first area up.

GUYS listen i was about to piss myself,
so i open my computer today and something got fried and the disk drive is dead,
so the project got deleted

BUT apparently i installed the game in the wrong DRIVE!
so because i'm an idiot the project was saved!  :smile:

Jesus! i do have a backup but it didn't have characters that i worked on- a month's worth of work!
So remember Backup your goddamn work! i'm so relieved, i've been spinning out for the last 2 hours.

i have a bug from loading from the hub to the asylum.
I can load the asylum and i can load the santamonica hub.

i can't go into the asylum or out to SM

i need to know what i did that caused this.

i did a test and removed some of the swapped models i placed InGame but everything seems ok, i don't understand what causes the bug. can anyone help?

The reason for something like this usually is that the landmark or target map names are different. So did you change anything there?
