Hooowever, here's the dancers. Are you planning to retexture others?

Yes! For now, I am focusing on the "goth kids", although I may do the others too eventually. As such, technically only the "What's the haps, bro?" dude shown next to the girl in the white dress remains, but I am also planning to retex the girl with the bear backpack and give her a cybergoth-ish makeover, partly because I like the idea of trying something like that, partly because she always shows up at the Asylum and could use a more alternative look, IMO. I hope I can manage.

Hi, I just wanted to ask if you know that there are several unused original textures still hidden inside the game files. Maybe you could use them to retexture some models?

Yes, I was writing of this now!
There are two more ravers with no models, only textures.
The girl looks familiar but I cannot remember her.
The male I remember it was restored as the dj BUT using E's model and face. As you can see he has a different face and hairs. Plus this has also textures of an hat and glasses like the first two female ravers.

The girl was used as Tawni Sessions!

Aw, who even sees her for more than a minute? :) I had to stop and think to remember, anyway.

Now, about the other one: there is a model for a male guy with glasses and a hat? Or at least the glasses?

I did not, but that's useful to know! Although I tend to change most of the original textures when I mod them, sometimes parts can be useful as bases.

Haha thanks! Details like that add to immersion, IMO.

Goth girl update - using the alpha Barabbah kindly provided for me, I was able to improve her hair a bit...

Also, does anyone know where I can find the lens texture for Female_Raver_1? It's not in the folder with the rest of them...  :chinscratch:

Try to open the model with the VPKTool just to see the directories and the names of the textures. Plus, and maybe this is the reason, being this an unused NPC restored by the UP it's possible in the UP folder there are files corrected of this particular model (like for example a .vmt file not correctly compiled)

Yeah, I tried that...the VPK tool lists only the Female_Raver_1 folder which I already have and doesn't contain the texture. Strangely enough it also lists the folders for several weapons, such as the Anaconda, the M37, the striker and the katana, but I can't imagine there are any lens textures there...

Even MORE strange is the fact that under textures I do see a FemRave1lens file, but it doesn't say which folder it's in (and the UP folder doesn't contain it either, it only has some corrected files for the eyes and teeth). It works fine in-game, and in a pinch I could leave it be, I just wanted to try editing it a little to better match the outfit I'm creating.

Edit: the main folder contains a texture similar in name to the one I'm missing, FemRave1lenstrans, and by renaming that I could get it to recognise it as a replacer...maybe I can just work with it and wherever the original is, it can remain there.

Each model has a main folder for its textures and others for shared stuff (eyes, teeth, ecc). Weapon are also listed, I think they are needed for compability or stuff, ignore them. Have you gave a look at the UP folder? Also check if that .vmt file is missing (if isn't there the model viewer won't show it)

In any case, I must bow to those hairs

A small correction: some similar models (like the PC ones) have one folder for each model plus asks for another one (like the head stored in the forst one)
