An update on the strange Schyrade situation: today I received a friend request from them on ModDB...but they haven't acknowledged my request to take down my mods or at least credit me for them and they are still there...

They have indeed reuploaded many modders' files, including MooCHa's Knox and Caine reskins and the Antitribu Mod. Seems like it's been going on for a long time and people have complained before but the files are still there and Schyrade never responds.

I've wrote him a message to be more careful on what he's uploading since several comes from recent and still active downloads and modders. He wrote back saying he didn't mean it and he's a newbie in modding/moddb

He uploaded a "antitribu remake".
I asked what are the changes with the original antitribu mod...
He never answer....
I suppose he dont has any kind of permission too...

Well, since he gave me a friend request shortly before this mess started I tried a diplomatic approach. I can be wrong, but he really gave me the impression to be like a total newbie on the road of a considerable burnout. Ghamina, have you tried to sent a private message? Myself I've recently found out public messages aren't exactly notified when you log in (and while we are at it, can somebody tell me how to turn  on notification of these?)

I have sent him a message, yeah. I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, but I find it hard to believe he is unaware. He's received several messages including from Barabbah and people have mentioned it in that Antitribu reupload mod where he was active but did not acknowledge those particular comments.

How odd for somebody to think they can get away with such nonsense nowadays.  Is he trying to play it off like these are *his* mods?

They are uploaded under his name with no mention of the original authors, so, yeah.

This is getting stranger and stranger! First of all, Schyrade has changed his name to JinVarel and he HAS actually removed my mods from his page, however...he still has plenty of other files that don't belong to him uploaded there and I believe he's recently added more. Take a gander:

I stumbled about him while browsing for new skins. I too, find it strange, that he would think, he can get away with stealing other peoples mods. The community is not that big. And nearly all mods, he shows there, I have seen elsewhere before.

As I wrote, someone who has work involved should contact ModDB people about this. I had a similar case myself, someone had uploaded an old HL mod from me there a long time ago when I didn't even know about ModDB. So I asked them to turn ownership over to me and they did so in a short time. If you can even explain to them that this guy is stealing lots of work from other people they might ban him right on...

3Dell's mods are lost (since she uploaded them on some now defunct sites) and if I'm not mistaken it was him who uploaded them some years before on moddb and saved them for bein lost (now he has reuploaded them with this account). The Lasombra girl comes from Antitribu. The others I have no idea who made them in the first place.

I really hope he (she?) gets his shit together, judging from this video he seems te be really good at modding (skip to the Asylum and Confession parts):
