Trusted Uploaders Group

I think we're ready to start adding people to the trusted uploaders group in the files area. Right now I have uploaded and fairly meticulously sorted skins into categories and names where possible, complete with thumbnails. The directory is also searchable. I'm posting this in the Bloodlines area because the skins area is most complete here. I've only moved over mods from our old files area, where people haven't been able to upload their creations for some time. I'd love for creators to start uploading their skins (and eventually mods) to PlanetVampire again, because if anything, redundancy is important. If you were around in 2001 or so, we had the loss of Vampdepot, and we've never recovered some of the Redemption mods posted there. It would be nice to have some mods from Moddb and Nexus to be hosted here as well.

Anyway, if you wish to upload skins to PlanetVampire's files area, I need to add you to the user group with permissions to do so, for the time being. If you're interested in uploading, just post in this thread with your interest and I'll add you. By uploading files, you simply agree to:

1. Not upload malicious files (duh).

2. Upload only your own work, or with permission of the author with their name credited.

3. Upload the file to the area where it's best suited. For example, a Pisha skin would go in Bloodlines>Skins>NPC>Pisha. The easiest way to ensure this is to go to the desired category and click the "Add A Download" button.

Thumbnail pics aren't required, but are greatly appreciated, and will allow others to preview the mod, increasing it's visibility. You can upload like 6 screenshots, then decide which one to use as a thumbnail.

PS. If someone wishes to start contacting people at ModDB and Nexus for permission, we'd be grateful, and would create more awareness. I don't have the time to do it myself at the moment.

I haven't come across those yet. I'm literally batch uploading from the old files area to the new one, then copying descriptions and thumbnails from the old area. There's a slight possibility that I'd have something like that stored locally on one of my externals, but it doesn't ring a bell. There are many skins and textures in the mods area of the old area too, so they could be in a category I haven't got to yet.
