Camarilla Edition (final version)
« on: March 03, 2013, 08:10:39 PM »
Fellow kindred,

I have released the final version of Camarilla Edition. It is based on Wesps plus patch in the version 8.5, and includes the library.
As usual, install it on a fresh copy of the original game with no other patch/mod.

The most important new feature is the library level. Thanks to burgermeister and Wesp for making this new level.
There are also some changes on the Presence in dialog, the random items to be found in the hubs and on the pier, and the hunter system. The option to learn a new discipline is also included (thanks to EntenSchreck for this), but it is handled a bit different from the way it's done in the patch.

As usual, download is possible from gamefront, ModDB, and The Patches Scrolls.
Download from GameFront

Download from ModDB

Download from The Patches Scrolls

This version will conclude the Camarilla Edition in its current form. Support will go on of course.
Perhaps I'll start something new, but that's not decided yet.

Have fun with this one
-Malkav

P.S. There is an installer version compatible with the mod loader on ModDB now

I have not had the opportunity, yet, to install and try any mods, but what I would like to say something. I have seen YouTube videos of many awesome mods and I want to say what a superb job. It's almost as if you're rereleasing the game over and over and adding so many more interesting elements. I can't wait to play all the clans first, then learn how to apply these mods.

This question have been answered elsewhere, but you cannot run mods with the console correct? The console that comes up when you hit the tilde and allows you access to items?

No. You cannot run multiple patches and mods but for each one of them you don't need the console.

You can't install several mod. You can use the consol with any mod or patch. Don't cheat though :D
Install the game, install the mod, create your shortcut, add -console, enjoy.

Thank you for everything, Malkav <3

I play godmod only when I alpha or beta test. I don't play for the mechanics though.

The no target isn't always worth it. The zombies can still see you and that scary-ass werewolf in the park. x_x

Personally, I love the zombies in the Bishop Vick house.  I know the route so well I can actually run through it with minimal zombie killing.... BUT.... I LOVE to put that last part of the mission chain off until after I've done Grout's mission, so I have access to Hollywood, where I buy the big ass revolver (name escapes me at the moment).  And if you want you can even do up to Romero so you get the extra firearms, but it's not needed.  Then you go back and just pop zombies in the head, it's so much fun, I can't even tell you.

Also, I don't usually die anymore when playing the game.  I just know my way around so well, the only real threats are the final bosses.  Oh... well... when the library level was first released that boss kicked my butt a few times cuz I tried to go blow for blow with him, which didn't quite work.  Haven't replayed the Library level because I switched over to CQM (and 3.1 with the new library level isn't out yet).

Patches Scrolls finally managed to repair a bug that made Camarilla final unaccessible at their new site. Now the link provided in this topic leads to the download on their new site.

Hey, thanks for a very cool mod. Installed it for my 7th playtrough and absolutely enjoying it.
I did, however, encountered a quite irritating bug. When i  equip heavy clothing armor my female gangrel character disappears (turns invisible). I don't think it was meant to be so (downloaded from Moddb) I tried to install different skin and it worked fine, i can also delete custom skin and get default, but i want the one included in the mod. Maybe someone can point me to where i can download it separately?
Thanks in advance.
P.S Tried to reinstall the game and now nobody moves in downtown. Whatever.
Nice music in Skyeline Apartments. Was it meant to be used in game or you picked it yourself?
Also met Ming Xiao in the Empire Hotel restaurant. Nice touch

About your Gangrel problem, I'm not sure right now. Never play this clan myself. I can't get the hang of unarmed fighting in this game, and what is a Gangrel without Protean and unarmed combat? If I recall right, you can find the model here on the PV main site in the files section.
Reinstalling without starting a new game is never a good idea with bloodlines. If you're lucky, going to the -bloodlines\vampire\maps\graphs\ subfolder and deleting the ain and loc files for the downtown hub map as well as for any other map your character has already visited will help. But I can't guarantee it.
Skyline, which music do you mean? If you're talking about the oldies in the hunter apartment. That soundfile was created by Zer0morph when we built the quest for use in both, CE and TFN. If you mean something else,it's either been there all the time, or it's something else from Rick Shaffer the original bloodlines composer, and has been put there by the plus patch.
Have a look into all the clubs. On some visits you might see other vampires as well. It all depends on your clan and gender, and of course on chance...

I usually go with melee, it's such a hassle to buy ammo. Anyway, gangrel is the only clan i haven't finished the game with yet (save for Nosferatu, can't bring myself to play as one)

Nah, didn't work out. But everything's okay in hollywood, so no big deal. Only downtown and Confession club are affected for some reason.

Yeah, it was very surprising. As were the hunters, too.

Yes, more unexpected goodness in this mod. :)
