                As promised previously, I have some further updates about Clan Quest Mod v 2.0, including a preview of another new cut scene integrated into the game. Have a look!

 http://www.moddb.com/mods/vtmb-clan-quest-mod/videos/downtown-mugging3

 The other updates include:

 Over the last few weeks, we've been getting together the last of the materials for 2.0 and have added a few more features for version 2.0 of Clan Quest Mod.

 Integration with Unofficial Patch 6.9

 Between the time of the last update, and the release of the mod, version 6.9 of the Unofficial Patch was released. It's easier now than ever to keep up-to-date with the latest version of the UP, so the changes from 6.9 have been absorbed into CQM 2.0

 Contextual Loading Screens

 Ever get bored of the same old loading screen throughout the entire game? Not anymore! Version 2.0 features an install option for the UI called, “Contextual Loading Screensâ€?. Now instead of the classic artwork for the loading screen that occurs between maps, you will see a piece of game artwork that is somewhat contextual to the part of the game you're playing, e.g. Jeanette in Santa Monica, Mitnick in Hollywood.

 Nightmare Mode

 Some people think that Bloodlines is too easy a game. I would say those people have never tried playing an edition that includes the changes from both Pop's Difficulty Mod, and the P & P Combat Mod in one package. Installing both these options together makes the game unprecedentedly difficult, even for the most veteran Bloodlines player.

 The final phase of testing needs to be completed before the mod can be released, but if everything else goes right, then it should be available within the next three weeks. In the meantime, check out the second new cut scene from 2.0.

 Good job again, can't wait to play these quests!

                You won't forget to include some quest for us evil players, right?

 Anyway, what the cutscene brings out at the moment in my mind is to kill the muggers, and then drain the girl. Or maybe that's just me.

 Wow, another perfect cutscene! I would change one of the guys to the other thug model though or is this not able to speak? On another note, how can one add the cutscene border without changing the camera or is this done automatically?

                instead of the current patch could use unofficial patch seven point zero when it comes out?

                @ApelBlitzkrieg:

 There is _one_ new quest specifically for evil players, but that was in the last edition, talking to the CDC guy. Of course, with any situation like this, you can always just kill everyone *mwahahaha*, but there's no dialog options to go with it.

 However, I've already got some plans for 2.1, including a quest chains to do some contract hits which is pretty evil in itself. Any suggestions, on other evil story lines you'd be interested in seeing?

 @Wesp: I'm *pretty* certain the border comes up automatically when you run the Start function on this entity I added:
 {
 "classname" "logic_choreographed_scene"
 "targetname" "mugging_choreo"
 "angles" "0 270 0"
 "SceneFile" "sound/CINEMATIC/mugging.vcd"
 "target1" "mugger1"
 "full_sound" "1"
 "origin" "-0.000121653 6.00003 6.12842"
 }

 Of course you have to have a corresponding VCD file in the sound directory, and as a matter of fact, I am changing the camera for the cut scenes.

 @torgal363:

 I have no idea when Wesp is planning on releasing 7.0, but I am doing my best to keep up with the latest Unofficial Patches. Wesp has been good about helping out with that, too, but with the amount of time it takes to integrate the changes, test them, and distribute the files, I can only do it so often.

 Honestly, though, Wesp and others have fixed pretty every 'showstopper' in the game now, so most of the fixes in subsequent versions are 'nice to haves', and I can't be too anal about keeping up with that, know what I mean?

                Great work, burgermeister01. happy

 Any chance you would fix the starting 2 cutscenes in the normal Bloodlines? If you edited them you could even make them skippable and make the female models work correctly during the head chopping among other things.  thinking

           Trust me, most of the names I have been called you can't translate in any language...they're not even real words as much as a succession of violent images.

 Anyway you could be more specific? When you say 2 cut scenes, do you mean the bedroom scene followed by the courtroom scene or? Also, by head chopping thing, do you mean when the player's sire is executed? What's wrong with the female model in that case?

 With fixing existing cut scenes, it's kind of a crapshoot. As far as I can see, in existing scenes, most of the animations are long draw out sequences, specific to the scene, whereas I'm kind of clipping things together. The problem with those long animations is that you can't really change or interrupt them without throwing off the entire animation. Of course, I've also seen it that they had to do some hacks as well to get everything to work as they wanted, so it's not impossible I could clean some stuff up. Let me know about what exactly you see as issues in the original animations.

 Oh, also, the Unofficial Patch includes a button in the character creation screen for skipping the opening sequence = )

 Are we going to be able to play the new hardmode along with CE?

 Unfortunately, no. Zer0 has requested in the past that we do not combine his mod with other mods which affect game play, because of the maintenance issues entailed in having his mod packaged along with other mods which could possibly affect his changes. CE is great, but doesn't really lend itself well to combining with others.

 There's also the risk of head explosion for anyone to make that many changes to the system files = )

 It appears that the option doesn't show up on widescreen resolutions though I heard someone was fixing that.

 Yes these 2, if I understand correctly the Skip Cutscene in the BUP only works with male PCs, the same with the Headchop, female models seem to have issues. The Headchop with a Female PC doesn't role correctly on/off the stage, I think this means the Male model was not adjusted to be the intended model for execution.

 The reason I asked was after seeing your 2 of your cutscenes the females were displaying correctly and got me to thinking you might have fixed something, maybe even without realizing it.

 More examples of cutscenes you could fix would be the Freeing Lily, maybe one of the worst looking in the game. Secondly could you just Remove a cutscene completely from the game? If so do you remember the cutscene from Griffon Park where the PC runs out to meet Nines, it's completely unnecessary and Wesp could just add a Talk Icon to activate Nines instead. Thirdly I started another thread but could you prevent the final cutscene from Ending the game and instead cause it to put us out side with the Taxi as a normal level change?

 Apologizes if this is a lot to ask, I am just not familiar with the process and just tossing ideas out that I think could help the game.

 Thanks for any tips, infos or help.  happy

 Wow, I didn't even realize they showed the decapitation! I am going to check that out for sure. Same thing with the button; I didn't realize it was not functional based on gender, but I will check it out and see what I can do.

 The thing I've noticed about that cut scene is that when you un-cuff her from the chair, it looks goofy as hell. Other than that though, I thought it was a pretty good animation. She leaps off the wall and murders that guy, and then turns and looks at you like an animal guarding it's catch. Meanwhile, the PC stands there with his goofy looking googly eyes, lol.

 It is the cuffs part you're talking about, right? Also, I think the guy screams before anything even happens. I might actually be able to fix that one.

 Absolutely, that's a snap. I looked at it again today, and this cut scene is totally superfluous, and looks really goofy when the PC runs up to Nines. The only other thing I would see having to change is locking the door to the observatory before the conversation, and removing the lock afterwords. Otherwise, the player would have an opportunity to run inside, and switch on the power before the werewolf chase actually begins.

 Yea, you could definitely do that. I've said in other posts before though, there isn't a whole let lot to do after the game ends, unless someone were to go in and add some more content. I've always kind of liked how it ends, but adding content afterwords would definitely give a lot more creative liberty.

                More content afte the "ending" could be cool. Getting to kill those Anarchs would be a nice treat.

 On this we'll never agree. I want to have more creative ways of dealing with that overarrogant smalltime SoB up in the tower...
