Dheu--does this completely replace all the character models?  For instance, I really like the Brujah one, but I don't care for the Malkavian.

What I'm asking is, is if this is a true "outfit pack" or if it's just a bunch of reskins in one package.

  •                 I am supporting 2 types of outfit packs. PC and NPC. The main criteria for both is that they can be easily installed. IE: archive extracts to VTMB_INSTALL root directory and that is all that is needed on the users part.

I think by "True" outfit pack you are asking if this enables new models (=true) or if it clobbers existing models. The answer is that PC outfit packs clobbers existing clan models. So I guess it wouldn't be a "True" outfit pack by that definition.

PC outfit packs aren't as special. They are similar to what has been around for years. I just added some standards: installation/uninstallation instructions and fully embedded path info so that users dont have to do anything but extract an archive. However, the compmod website also offers a PCRestorePack, which clobbers all models and textures with the originals that came with the game. Makes life a little easier by offering a true uninstall option.

My phylosophy is this: Most people pick a clan and stick with it for the game. If you are playing as a Brujah and you like the Brujah model above, then install the pack. Sure you get a Malkavian you dont want... but you aren't playing as Malkavian are you? Next week when you are ready to play a malkavian, you install the PCRestorePack and you are back to square one.

One unqiue thing I am going to do with my PC outfit packs: On my website, I am going to offer 7 installers for each included model that allows users to install the model for any clan. It will be a lot of archives (49 per PC outfit pack), but it will allow people to pick and chose what they want for each clan without getting their hands dirty in the packaging and wiring details.

However, I wont be adding "Pick and Choose" capability till next week as I am trying to get a patch out in 2 days.

Thanks for the clarification, Dheu. happy  Having the separate installers will be nice.
