  •                 I spent about an hour browsing the forum and couldn't find any information on this as most of the posts had to do with reskinning models.  In any case, my problem is that I personally find many of the weapons out of balance.  I currently have the v3.5 upgrade mod, and that does help slightly to rebalance a few, but I was wondering how to alter these stats myself?  I tinkered around in the game files, but to no avail.  Mostly, I'd like to improve the .38 so that it is actually worth using and better balanced with melee and unarmed early game.  Also, I was wondering why the .38 has in the description "long range" when it is (I believe) the most innacurate gun in the entire game?  If an enemy is even 20 feet away, you're lucky if 1/4 of your shots hit.  I do like how the scope and extra 3 rounds in the clip were removed from the "sniper rifle", but the problem now is that it has no accuracy whatsoever unzoomed...so even with the damage increased to balance it out it's only useful close up and has to be used more like a shotgun than a rifle.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thankyou!

Just look in the vdata/items folder and change the text files of the weapons to your liking.
