Oh LaCroix is a wonderful character, from an in game prospective he's an asshole for sure that's all. Humanity isn't really about acting human at all, plenty of humans are assholes, murderers and other such characters exist among humanity remember. Humanity could be thought of as a idealized form humane morality but hardly an accurate representation of what it means to be human.

Smiling Jack is Humanity 3?

Regarding Jack it depends on how you view it. Jack is a canon character in VtM with stats in one supplement or another and I think its from there that he's got Humanity 3. But if you run with Jack as he's presented in the computer game I would think he's got Humanity 5 or something like it.

Jack seems very keen on the 'self defence' angle of Humanity, according to him if someone attacks you they can die no problem. Anarchs in Bloodlines seem to agree with certain principles of the Camarilla but rejecting how it is run and some of its laws; hell Issac as a Baron is just a mini Prince. Bloodlines Anarchs seem pretty civilized compared to the Street gangs I've read the Anarchs described as on White Wolf wiki

Incidently do Anarchs do Paths of Enlightenment? Seems mainly a Sabbat and Independent Clan thing.

"3" is about what I'd expect with Jack.  Heck, he probably killed everyone on the ship to set up his sarcophagus hoax when he popped out of the box.

This is why "Jack slaughter Elizabeth Dane" is the most plausible theory. It is completely within his character to do so. He was a pirate in his human days afterall.

Makes perfect sense, the protagonist should have reasons for joining them after all. Shame they haven't enough time to flesh out Sabbat as well.
From this perspective, LaCroix would've maked better anarch baron than prince. BTW, according to the VtM lore, defecting to anarchs is not that uncommon among younger ventrues.

Having played this game circa 100 times (hell maybe a lot more). BUT never reading any of the canon/lore/pnp stuff I analysed the following major faults....

Loadsa bugs - now fixed

Story wise it would be nice if there was an actual apocalypse ending with some hint of Messerach beginning the end of the world (the TV guy giving us an update perhaps). After all having spent so much time and effort (and so many lives) trekking after the dratted sarcophagus the explosives thing feels a bit cheap.

So more apocalypse now then!

P.S. Jack is full of **** "they just tore eachother apart to get it" err no the PC tore everyone apart which kinda implies something really bad/badass is pulling the PCs strings (a sleeping ancient perhaps).

-----   but, Messerach was dead for centuries and is just a mummy.  All the rest was a hoax to feed on superstitions - a typical Jackism.   Likely a ghoul in his day but, no more.
