Tremere Easter egg
« on: November 29, 2018, 05:33:11 PM »
I suppose that someone already noticed this but I didn't find anything on the net so I am posting it. It seems that this guy https://www.imdb.com/name/nm1057894/?ref_=ttfc_fc_cr24 is the "author" of Thaumaturgical Creatures book:

I'm kind of dense sometimes but, I just don't follow what you are getting at?

Sorry if I was unclear. I mean that this is another of the crew presented in the game but this time not with his avatar as Chris Avellone https://forums.planetvampire.com/bloodlines-games-general-discussion/easter-egg-at-giovanni's/ but only with his name. Eain Bankins was acoustics support and tester and it seems that he was presented in the game as the Chicago's Tremere regent who wrote the Thaumaturgical Creatures book. I hope this time is clearer.

I liked it :chinscratch:

You probably already know, but the sign on the players mailbox is also the name of one of the developers...

You mean his nickname. The nickname (Nivbed) rings a bell and I think I read something about this but it seems that I have forgotten it and you have refreshed my memory. I didn't play the game for more than 10 years and returned to it at UP 9.5 so I have a lot of white spots in my knowledge of VTMB. I also refreshed my memory for another Easter egg - the reference to Running Man movie with Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Somewhere in the Warrens. Level 3 I think.

Whitman, Price and Haddad are from the movie "The Running Man" - they're the names of "last season's winners".

Talking about developer's names turning up in the game, you probably found "Perillo, T" in the Krimeputer, Charged with impersonating a coder.
And Margaret Tang in the Celebrity database. I wonder if it's true what they say there? Well, we know she got the voice actors to do great stuff...
And I think the wanted notes on Arthur's wall have developer's names as well.

I expected to be more of them in the game but I didn't check it out. If I'm not wrong, only Bankins is vampire and above that a Regent.

Perfectly so  :)   It was me, though, not that you were unclear.  Things just go right over my head.
