  •                 Hi there,

In Ming's temple, behind the water wheel, you have to push this bar aside the double door in order to be able to walk through it.

When I played through the temple for the first time I explored it completely and didn't have any problem with above-mentioned bar.

However, when going through it for the second time I just sneaked straight through the main corridor, made a right to the bedroom where you find all the ammo and without any further detour sneaked to the double door behind the water wheel.
Funnily enough, I was not able to push the bar.
I loaded a savegame when I was still a level above and randomly walked through the temple (not sneaking anymore) and killed some of the Kuei Jin.
After a certain amount of time I returned to the door and *drumroll* it was no problem to push the bar.

Now, when playing it for the third time, I again have this stupid problem.

To cut a long story short:
Is there any special action required in order for the bar in front of the double door being pushable?
     Any other ideas?

Thanks a lot for your thoughts!

     Kind regards,
     Fini

     I don't think there is.
Some people on this forum will tell you it's a matter of
coordination or technique, but I don't believe that to be true.

I've finished this game 25 or 30 times with no problems except for that stupid door - it never has worked
for me so I simply noclip through it.

That double bar is THE part of the game I hate the most !
It's as you described it, sometimes it works and sometime it doesn't...and i have no idea why. I know I'm not being very helpful here but all I can say I try to load and reload until you get a game where the door finally opens.

  •                 Thanks a lot for your replies! :-)

At least it's "only" some kind of bug.
So I'll probably also no-clip through it or just keep on reloading like suggested by Marquis (which proves that your reply actually was helpful ;-)).

     Bye bye

  •                 Strange... I have yet to have a problem with that door. I have played through several times and have reloaded several times and the bar always worked for me.

Or try an unofficial patch up from 3.1 which put's the bar to the side of the door.
