Modern day RPG's

(1/1)

First off Bloodlines renewed my faith in games. I hate the way all new games are concepted on the sole basis of profitering, aka the same old crap over and over again with better graphics. Bloodlines should have redefined everything, I havnt loved a game so much since the days of FFVII and MGS. The death of troika is a genuine tragedy.

Ok, so i know theres a games like bloodlines post, but it aint specific enough for me. I was wondering if there was any other RPG's set in the modern/not too distant future with the same adult themes and antisocial viewpoints.

That might be a bit to specific, but ****, there seems to be a million titles in every genre right now.

heres what I found so far:

 Bloodlines
 Redemtion
 Omikron
 GTA
 FFVII
 FFVIII(meh)
 FFX(bleh)

Any help would be appriciated, I love games but I hate the crap their spewing up nowadays. any help would be appriciated.

All I can recommend are my favourite game and its sequel:

 Deus Ex
 Deus Ex 2: Invisible War.

Deus Ex 1 is set in 2052 and Deus Ex 2 in 2072.

They are both in the FPS/RPG genre, Deus Ex 1 having more RPG elements. Basically they are near future cyberpunk, but you can definitely see the world headed to where it ends up in DX1.                         -----signature-----           "Prolonged exposure may damage the bronchial pathways"

Try Elder Scrolls Oblivion. My comp cant handle it, but it is a beatiful game IF you have enough time to play it.

KOTOR 1 & 2 are good if you're into Star Wars and choosing between the light and dark side. Number 2 you can even affect your party members.

Get a program like oldblivion - it makes the game playable on older computers.                         -----signature-----           "The reason we exist is because the jellyfish will it so. WHY ELSE?"
