Hey now, I told him to read some reviews.

Anyone still on this site is almost certainly hopelessly biased.

A good point actually anyone who keeps coming back here probably has at least a more than casual interest in one of the VtM games or at least the WoD.

But what if vampiresexx does not know of bias? Or it's malignant hold on the hearts of those that lurk here?

I know. I got suckered by hype and lack of trustworthy pre-reviews. It seems that whenever I buy a game 'blind' I get burned. Galactic Civs II, Bloodlines, MoO 3, Empire of Magic...

You though, have no such excuse for wasting that $5.

$5.00 for Bloodlines is not a waste there are far more useless things you could by with 5 bucks.

                Like a small art piece.

"We can forgive a man for making a useful thing so long as he does not admire it. The only excuse for making a useless thing is that one admires it intensely. All art is quite useless." --Oscar Wilde; preface to The Picture of Dorian Gray.

There is always something more useless you can buy, no matter what you pay/buy.

The real question is; are there better things you can buy with $5? If the answer is 'yes', which it is, then the $5 was indeed a waste.

You know perfectly well that what I meant is that $5 for Bloodlines is a good deal, not that there was nothing better you can spend $5 on and thats the last I'll say about that. I'm not falling for your trap if you want to argue about what you could buy for $5 that is better than Bloodlines you will have to do so with yourself. Arguments with you always end in 2 ways either you bludgeon your opponent into silence or start spouting blanket statements and insults when confronted with an argument you can not win, either way I'm not interested.

Ahh my lovely but I didn't know what I was buying as I bought it in a three things for the price of 2 deal and well, bloodlines was the one game I fished out of the sales bin. The others where the movie Der Untergang and the other was... I... I don't know, it might have been Kotor I. No,,, it was Max Payne I.

 So am i excused?

No I am not,  i would have payed 15$ for it> But paying 50$ for a game is like... WHO DOES THAT??????? I never ever payed 50$. Come on,  no game in the world is worth that kind of money.

I am zen and I have formulated a rule I won't buy anything above 15$ unless I have read some reviews and slept on it.  Well it doesn't work as you can always make a mistake in the end. Sadly enough my most regretted buy was dungeon siege II, the all-in-one pack(exact 15$). Argg even the pig's refuse to eat it.

You're paying for time. The sooner you want to play it, the more it will cost to do so.

However; Oblivion's GotY edition (for the PC) is indeed worth that much. It's the gift that keeps on giving.

And you should know perfectly well that I meant it was a bad deal. A horrible one. In fact, one might even call it: a total waste.

Particularly since Troika isn't getting a dime of the money, being non-existent and all.

For a game i completed maybe twenty times, 50 bucks is well worth it.

Still need to finish it as Nossie. But i just can't stand being one it seems...

It's also worth noting that although $50 is way too much for a lot of people to pay for a single game, to others it's really not a big deal, and the cost doesn't matter to them.  Maybe they have a lot of disposable income and/or games are a huge part of their life.

People posting on a forum dedicated to a video game actually like the video game? Who would have thought about that!
