How to play Ventrue
« on: August 01, 2020, 06:14:12 am »
For my fifth playthrough I wish to rp as a Ventrue.  The youtuber Primogen uploaded this interesting video on how to play a Ventrue.

I wanted to play ventrue but.............. I love sucking rats.

I don't think even in Skyrim you can consume rats.

I know this is gonna be a tough playthrough, since like you said the Ventrue are picky on who they feed on.  I will have to spend my hard earned cash on blood packs.  I just hope by the end I have enough cash to buy a good gun to fight Ming Xiao and the Sheriff.

Hmm the Toreador who are into high society and the finer things in life, have no problem feeding on rats and bums.

Domination in dialogues is kind of fun, especially when you talk to Vandal.

I like playing Tremere but her skin color... no need to be a Nosferatu to violate all the possible Masquerades with a color like a morgue client, and since I can only remesh a model, not retex it I couldn't find a single little mod with more-less alive like skin color, all are obsessed with retexting those damned outfits.

I was talking about the Diablerie aspect, none of which is present in Skyrim  :funny:  ! So one is indeed free to consume other vampires without fear of repercussions.

Well I'm not the biggest Ventrue fan out there, though I respect how important is their role in Vampire settings... So far I've only played it twice, most recently ~3 years ago, and decided to go with female Ventrue with Dominatrix history (Diabolic is good, too). Combat-wise, she coped very well in early stages of the game thanks to Presence + Trance combo. I believe 3 dots in Presence are enough to incapacitate early bosses in Santa Monica-Downtown, but if you'd rather commit to Dominate, you will have a great time as well. I only started Fortitude in Hollywood, it's not mandatory, but makes gunfights a piece of cake.
When it comes to Attributes and K/S/T, I pumped Subterfuge and Appearance early on to mix it up (rarely used skills imo).

What about the rats? Unless I'm a Nosferatu I only even think about eating rats in the warrens. That is when I decide to take the long haul.

Never got the dog :(
Could it be that blowing up the lab and killing the guy doesn't count as good behaviour? :chinscratch:
