  •                 Well, during one of my latest replayings of Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines I noticed that there are some advertisments on the walls of the theatre in Downtown. They refer to Collide, a goth, techno, triphop female singer. Did they intend to use her song in the game?

  •                 Here is a quote from a review (http://www.freeinfosociety.com/article.php?id=395): The music in this game reflects its gothic theme and features music from artist such as Massive Attack, Collide, and Lacuna Coil. Music posters from these groups are scattered throughout the game world as well. The music really adds atmosphere to the game and you will hear a variety of music as you enter different areas. For example, the club might have thumping industrial techno music playing, while the bar might have goth metal playing.

The Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines Soundtrack does not contain anything from Collide though (http://www.en.game-ost.ru/info.php?id=1291):
     1. Bloodlines by Ministry
     2. Come Alive by Daniel Ash
     3. Cain by Tiamat
     4. Swamped by Lacuna Coil
     5. Isolated Chiasm
     6. Needle's Eye by Die My Darling
     7. Pound by Aerial2012
     8. Lecher Bitch by Genitorturers
     9. Smaller God by Darling Violetta

There have been rumors that the main theme of Bloodlines is a remix of Massive Attack - Angel, so maybe they used a song of Collide and remixed that too.

  •                 Yea, unfortunately the game doesn't have any of Collide's music, which is a shame because I am a big fan of Collide. Which is why I put Monochrome from the Collide's Chasing the Ghost Album in the Confession Club downtown grin

  •                 Interesting theory.  In the 4 years since the game's release, I don't think anybody has brought that up before.  Anyways, regarding the Confessions music, I never was a huge fan of Ministry, and their "Bloodlines" track never did impress me all that much.  For what it's worth, my favorite tracks from the game are "Lecher Bitch", "Cain" and "Smaller God."

  •                 "Isolated" - Chiasm (Asylum) and "Swamped" -Lacuna Coil (asp hole/ending credits).

Since the game has no soundtrack of Collide eventually, why they bothered putting posters of them inside the game (product placement, or they started designing the game having in mind they will have collide music in it, and then someone canceled the deal?)

I've become a huge fan of this group myself (probably my fave band atm, actually).  Oddly enough, I discovered them after seeing those very advertisements. heh.
