Glad you recognised my avatar. I actually made that outfit (with the chinese jacket, which was really hard to sew) as a cosplay. It's still my favorite cosplay.

Hey, that's kool!

I love Firefly, one of the best scifi shows out there. And yes, it's tragic, that it got cancelled.

Yeah, I think it would've done much better if it would've came out a few years later.

If you don't know Babylon 5, you should really watch it. It's really great scifi :)
I never participated in the Trekkie versus Babylon 5 fans discussion btw. I love both B5 and DS9.

I definitely intent to take a look at Babylon 5 now that I know there's no Sorbo, heh.

I still have nightmares of my dad forcing me to watch this one really lame show featuring Greek mythology when I was kid....

How is the VTMB playthrough going? (to get back a bit on topic)

I haven't really been playing much the pay few days... But let's see...

I found the tape Issac wanted but he said he wanted the source so I went to the Sin Bin and talked the owner who gave me some info(which I have yet to follow up on), then I killed Chasity (pretty sure I glitched her somehow in a previous visit to the Sin Bin as she kept attacking me on sight, which didn't seem right).

After she was dead, I reported back to VV and got another quest, but instead of immediately heading to the Lucky Star, I took a side trip to Downtown(someone in another thread gave me a hint to look there for help with the Gorgoyle). I went straight to the Tremre guy and got a tailsman(I remember reading somewhere, either in the game, or on-line that Tremre had something to do with Gorgoyles).

Then I went back to Hollywood and talked Hatter into giving up both his script and his source, then went the pier in Santa Monica and killed Julius but saved and quit not long after reporting back to VV because I was kinda bummed out about killing Julius because he stutters really bad and I start to stutter a too whenever I talk to a pretty girl or get too excited and try to talk to fast. :(

You don't have to kill Julius to finish the quest. It's enough to threaten him and then tell him to leave and not come back

Yeah, saw that dialogue option but I'm going for a sorta Camarila true believer for this first play through so he had to die. No one betrays the Masquerade! Mahaha!

...except my fem vamp when it suits her, but don't tell LaCroix, ;)

Anyway, I just got my butt kicked again by the Gargoyle. My axe wasn't doing jack. Then I started thinking - a Gargoyle should be vulnerable to blunt weapons, however, an axe isn't a really blunt weapon. Thankfully, you start the game with not one, but two blunt weapons...

Kevin Sorbo - for the longest time I thought Andromeda was a Star Trek movie based in pre-warp drive times and laughed that Hercules was a star ship captain.  :)

My favorite sci-fi show was Lexx - so imaginative!

Her's the kicker - I like campy so I liked Hercules and Xena.  I found the end episodes (of Hercules) in modern times so hilarious with it's mocking of the show's writers, Mars driving around in a Mustang, etc.

I love Farscape - another really strange scifi show.
And of course Doctor Who

@Nanaloma - lol, I had no idea Hercules ended up in modern day! Xenia was a spin off of Hercules right? Growing up, one of buddies' little brother was obsessed with Xena; he had Xena t-shirts, cups, toys(sorry, action figures...) was always playing some crappy Xena PC game and even had a sorta shrine of posters dedicated to her in the corner of his bedroom!

@fylimar - My favorite Farscape episode was the cartoon one... Crap, cannot recall the name, but I'm 99.9% sure it was one that Ben Browder wrote himself. I thought Ben Browder did a great job on that show btw; When I was a teenager, I wanted to be like just like Crichton; funny and badass, with a bit of cocky attitude, but deep down a solid foundation of honor. I wasn't that obsessed with him though. I mean, I didn't have some creepy shrine of posters dedicated to him or anything....

I know, which episode you mean. I liked all of the characters. With Crichton, I loved his nerd references the most and the naiv way, he did things.
I'm a huge Scorpius fan, so I like the episodes with him the best. He just brought such a great dynamic to the show and Wayne Pygram is a terrific actor. But my most beloved character has to be Moya. She really had to endure a lot.

Yeah, Scorpius was a kool badguy and Pygram did an excellent job.

Yes she did.

But back to Bloodlines - Heather is dead. My heart is broken. I re-loaded a save like 3 times trying to mash different buttons during the cutscene trying to DO something. Didn't help. RIP. :(

Also, now I think I may be in a bit of jam; I'm fighting through the... ah... Lin Kuei temple and I don't know if I have enough ammo to make it. I just moved the buddha statue and I have 47 rounds for the Deagle and 59 rounds for the SPAS 15 - is this enough to make it through the next area? I assume there is a boss ahead as well. Ranged Combat is 10, btw. I'd prefer a spolier free acessment please.

I also have 50 experience points saved up so I was thinking about maxing Celerity and dumping the rest into strength and going melee for a bit to save ammo. Probably what I'll try, at least.

If I do need to load a previous save I guess I could dump those points into Finance/Manipulation to buy more ammo. My haggle skill is only 2.

Also, is Stamina worth it? I only have 1 point in it.(Edit: what does it actually protect against? i.e., swords, clubs, fire, guns, etc.,???)

Last question; will increasing brawl and strength make it easier to feed in combat?(I may have asked this already, been wondering about it for awhile)

Sorry about Heather. There was nothing you could have done. If you don't sent her away before the Sabbat quest at Hollowbrook, she will always die in the vanilla game. I think, there are mods that allow you to keep her and - maybe wesp5 could confirm that - with the Unofficial Patch Plus you might be able to save her (there is an option to tell her to stay indoors, when she tells you, that she has been followed). I normally send her away, so I don't know for sure.

About the Kuei Jin temple: I try to be spoiler free, but I would advice to try to do the next level with a melee weapon or go and buy a bit more ammo before moving on. You will need the ammo.

I personally like Celerity a lot and it is useful especially in harder fights, so putting some points in there, is never wrong imo.
Melee is good to have too.

Stamina raises your bashing soak (it's against bullets and blunt weapons), so it's good to have.

Brawl and Strength both raise your Unarmed Combat feat which helps with feeding in combat.

I normally don't put points in finance. You get one by doing the quest for Fat Larry in Downtown and I think, there is some book that raises the stat, but other than that, I don't put anything in there. If you play the Clan Quest Mod (which I highly recommend for a later playthrough, you can actually join the Sabbat and have a different experience), the stat can help with a quest, but mostly I didn't need it. Even with my Ventrue, who needs a lot more blood packs from Vandal, because she can't feed on rats or the homeless, I have enough money and she has only 2 points in haggle.

I hope, I was able to help you.

Yes, in the plus Unofficial Patch you have one chance to keep Heather by telling her to stay indoors when she tells you that she was being followed.

You did. Everything I needed to know is there. :)

Well, except for one thing...

@Wesp5: I'm using the Patch Plus. At what point in the game does Heather mention being followed? I must've missed that conversation.

Well, I think I'll take Celerity from 3 to 5, dump a couple more points into Strength so I can use a katana, and put the rest in Stamina and see if I can clear the next level without guns. Wish me luck!

On the first level of the kuei gin there are some chests with lots of ammo, try to get back there amd see if they are still there and available
