Well this weekends Paradox Insider (E3 2020) event was unsurprisingly postphoned.

"Bloodlines 2 will be a part of this event and we will be showing some sneak peeks into things we haven't shown before. So stay tuned folks for the new schedule."

I think they save it for the Gamescom event and buy some more time. This is just pure speculation from my part but i don´t think that they have the release date or should i say release month ready.

Edit: Also let's not forget their original plan for release month was March. Thank god that they delay this game because its possible that Bloodlines 2 would have been released in a worse state than Bloodlines 1.

@Wilhelm:  Oh hell no.  Like you I agree they should take their time.  I love the original Bloodlines but I loathe doing the Golden Temple.  It's not that it's hard I just find it annoying.  Their attacks do no damage but they take a lot of punishment which makes a long and dull experience.  I just use the notarget cheat and go by the npc's until Ming Xiao.  But yeah I hope Paradox does not screw the devs over like Activision.

Wait a minute!?  This morning I posted a thread speaking of the sexual allegations towards Chris Avellone.  I asked Wesp5 to close the thread because I only wanted to post the news.  But as the day went on I remembered Chris Avellone was writing for VTMB2.  Since we live in cancel culture, do you all think because of the allegations his portion will be cut out thus delaying the game even more?

This has been done before.  When Brian Mitsoda left Obsidian his work was cut out of Alpha Protocol.

It depends on the quantity of work he putted down. If it's too much they would think twice before discharge his work.

PS sorry for the childish comment in that topic, I've deleted it

This is such a difficult topic. I obviously am dissapointed this news came out because Chris Avellone is a goddamn legend. No game is worth being developed by a person that has committed sexual abuse however, justice takes precedence over everything else.

It would really fucking suck however, if Avellone was blacklisted and it turned out the allegations were false.

I really don´t want to talk about Chris Avellone who knows if those sexual allegations are true or not but i doesn´t matterthe man won´t work and especially write in this industry anymore. He is done.
Techland cuts ties with him and so does Hardsuit Labs / Paradox.

No one should be fired for allegations.

This is exactly what I was thinking.  When it I was growing up in America it was always innocent until proven guilty.  But now we live in an age where people are quick to judge without knowing the facts.  I think whatever characters he wrote will be cut from the final product.  Paradox will most likely not want any of his work in their games.

You telling me I always talked about how much I enjoyed both Planescape Torment and KOTOR 2.  The man wrote my favorite Star Wars character, Kreia.  He also wrote two of my favorite protagonists, The Nameless One and the Jedi Exile.  In saying that I never met him in real life nor have I ever worked with him.  He has a reputation of being a dick and hard to work with, and I hope these allegations are false.  But the damage has been done.  Whether innocent or guilty I don't see him having much of a future in the gaming industry anymore.

It seems unlikely a formal investigation might be started in this matter as well. Oh shit.
