But what about the Ghouls ?
« on: May 20, 2019, 01:18:58 AM »
We knew her, we loved her... and we want more damnit.

So what about ghouls ? How will they be represented within the game ? Will we even have the feature given the controversial claims that derived from the first game ?

For my part I think we all want the same things when it comes to ghouls: more options and choices, maybe a way to treat them differently, have them perform tasks or even play as them in certain sections, like a friend suggested me once.

We're monsters, so I would like a wealth of options from killing them to having them as "pets" to even using them for financial gain (investment banker, stock broker, etc.) or for combat (ex-special forces and such). Any "unethical treatment" of them is just par for the course and if we don't have the option to "abuse" them, then it's neutering Vampire the Masquerade significantly.

In the L.A. By Night tabletop campaign run by Jason Carl from White Wolf, there is a particular ghoul lady who is quite the badass, serving as a skilled driver and fighter for the Kindred coterie on occasions, whether in fights with them or off on her own.

If he didn't have a fail state we could've had Mercurio in BL2 ! Another great ghoul.

Hmm, have they announced that characters with potential deaths won't be in Bloodlines 2? If not, it's still possible for him to make an appearance. I'd prefer they let characters return whom you could kill, though. Otherwise it would be impossible to see Yukie again. D':

Not I. It would take quite a dick to kill her. I didn't consider it until just recently, but I think she's my favorite human in Bloodlines. =p

Deffinitely top 3 for me. Nothing like a japanese demon huntress in the middle of Chinatown.

It's also kinda fun having a non-ghoul human who knows what I am and doesn't want to kill me or run away screaming. ^^

Nice bush. Rose bush, of course. And no, they cannot.

Too bad, I guess that rules out sex unless we get something like 9 humanity while full vampires.  I hope the game lets us do that.  lol

I hope we get more than one option to suit a wider array of characters. And, yes, that we are able to be either nice or mean to them.
Strange is the night where black stars rise,
And strange moons circle through the skies,
But stranger still is
Lost Carcosa.

Tbh, I always found the relationship with Heather unhealthy, she is a real mouse and totally dependent of you. I mostly set her free very early, because I feel bad for taking advantage of her.
I would like a ghoul who is a bit more crafty and has more self esteem, like Mercurio or Knox. Someone like that. I don't care if it is a woman or a man. More than one option would be great though.

I felt guilty at first with Heather, but eventually I figured "Its a part of vampire life".

I don't know, honestly I felt bad for her. She has no friends or relatives, she is lost and confused in her life. The player must be like, despite the blood bound, the first human relation she did ever achieve. I have never freed her, that would be like the most devastating thing I could do to her. And I have always treated her as a friend (and with the greatest respect I can to compensate the blood bound)....

Fuck, playing as a baali in the Final Nights mod it was difficult being evil to her, I guess I'm not at all good at roleplaying evil characters LOL
