Almost impossible. It´s more likely that Bloodlines 2 sucks because Hardsuit Labs (the former Zombie Studios) haven´t done anything in the past which was good. Maybe mediocre at best.

I don't know, I feel like bad habits may be starting to creep in CDPR pretty soon, what with the crunching issues they've recently had.

It is unlikely though, that Cyberpunk 2077 is anywhere near being a bad game. I can't even imagine how much money that thing is gonna make :58_124:

From what I have seen in the new videos, Cyberpunk 2077 might be quite different to Bloodlines 2 especially in the dialogue department. It seems while they show some lines, your character will say something different and then the conversation goes to automatic for a time without ways to interact again. This is not at all the way that Bloodlines does it with you choosing each line exactly how you want it! Also everything I heard for now was cool and hard, not at all as funny as some of the Bloodlines lines were. And judging from the 3 hour interview with Brian and Cara I hope Bloodlines 2 should be that funny too!

I mean, unless they land on the exact same month, is it really a big worry? If Bloodlines comes out before Cyberpunk, and they don't have an extremely close release date, I think it should be fine. I just wish we had a more concrete release date, it's hard to even speculate at this point.

Cyberpunk has already been pre-ordered here. Bloodlines 2, nah. It isn't gonna be on same level.

If they hold back Cyberpunk again in regards to release. I'm not arsed. It is partly why they have my cash now because I really know they love the product they want to give me and £5 off too with steam sale.

Get in there!

Edit: Also. I don't want to hype BL2. Less hype in my own head, The better, I feel it will be for me on release. Psychologically to easy to end up feeling an underwhelm if I proceed, Otherwise.

I don't think I am ever going to pre-order something ever again, unless I get a significant discount and there is a demo to play (heck, even a demo can "trick" you, if it's the best part of the game and the rest is a mess). Cyberpunk seems cool, but Bloodlines seems pretty cool as well, although until I get my hands on it, I am not about to hype it up. Anyway, I recently bought a new PC, and I think I am in for a lot of fun, in the coming months.

Now, my only problem is that I am starting to get the itch to play Bloodlines 1 again. I completed it 3 times since the announcement of the sequel, and I am starting to be afraid I'll really play with all the clans by the time it's out! XD That's quite a lot of Bloodlines for just 1 year.

There is a few reasons I pre-ordered. I don't ever do it. nowadays. But, Got bit of money off. I like that they aren't going to just throw out a product like Activision would unfinished. Also no dlc with you can get this and that if you pay more. It's just across the board. I've been avoiding watching a lot about it. 2 trailers is all and I tend to shy away from anything to do with it. I refuse to over hype it.

Another reason I had the money there for Resident Evil 3 on launch day on my steam account. I was hyped. But I had a hunch from the demo I wouldn't buy it. It felt like it should've been a dlc. I will be lucky if I buy it at 85% off ;/

I can always refund it back to steam at the worst case scenario if I want to buy something in the meantime.

Yeah,  I actually tried pre-ordering on a few games for the first time only in recent years, with RE 2 and 3 (they were 20% off if I pre-ordered from Fanatical, a legit Steam key seller). I liked RE2 (although I have a few gripes with it), but I absolutely despise RE 3. Both had a demo, and I think in both cases the difficulty was tampered with compared to the final release, but most importantly RE 3 is really mediocre across the board:

the writing is weak, everyone is whiney AND passive-aggressive, including Jill, the game is really short and missing a lot of setpieces from the original, the combat is made worse by the larger areas (the zombies really aren't good at it, and I believe they actually teleport a bit closer when you aren't looking, just to screw you over), Nemesis is even worse than Mr. X, and I didn't like that guy very much in RE2 either, almost no puzzles at all, etc. The demo was probably the best part, and I couldn't believe that was really how large the area actually was even in the full game.

I guess with refunds being common nowadays, there is little lost in pre-purchasing or day one purchase. I should be happy about the GOG policy, actually. I wasn't even thinking about it, but I guess I could buy both games at launch with less worries, now. Were there any in-game bonuses or extras pre-ordering either of  these games?

I do not believe that the delay of Cyberpunk 2077 will be a problem for Bloodlines 2.
