I'm pretty sure, a lot of people would play Nosferatu. As Wilhelm said, it's a unique game experience. You can first play with a 'normal' clan, then for magic a Tremere, then Malkavian for unique insight and dialogue and then Nosferatu for a different game experience.

But I feel like you have to write an entire game for a Nosferatu playthrough alone. I am not opposed in any way to anything like that... but I do wonder if they would have enough time and resources to do it, and whether people would even like it in the first place.
I believe that they wanted the Nosferatu for the main game and already have the sewer gameplay mechanic ready but they need extra time for the Nosferau character editor because you can´t use most of the other clan options.

But how do you sell the Nosferatu as anything other than a challenge ? You can't persuade, you can't seduce, you can't be seen without breaking the masquerade, you can't be anything other than damned monstrous freak. Do I like that ? Hell yeah. Would I pay for a Nosferatu DLC ? Hell yeah. Would anyone else ? I don't know. Would people just pay for a challenge ? I don't think so.
You can ask the same question for Bloodlines 1. People would play / pay for its unique experience. My guess is that Nosferatu with Obfuscate are the ultimate stealth clan in Bloodlines 2.

Let's hope we can get the Nosferatu then. I cannot imagine however that we could get more than three clans. Seems a bit much to me.

Obfuscate would be a fantastic addition though. It's also a fundamental discipline for a Nosferatu playthrough.

I agree more than 3 free clan dlcs are likely unlikely.
Also if Nosferatu and Gangrel are sharing Animalism as their shared discipline well there is room for one more clan which use Fortitude.

And that´s why Malkavians don´t have Obfuscate anymore.  :vampwink:

I don't think something as minor as a character editor would be the reason why the Nossies are a DLC. I would guess they need time to add all the unique stuff a Nosferatu playthrough needs, from moving in the sewers to unique reactions by NPCs. And as fylimar already pointed out, they probably know most people do a Nosferatu playthrough later anyway ;)!

I hope they get other perks as well. Something special aside from just turning invisible.

I don´t think that the Nosferatu options in the character editor are that minor.  :vampwink: Maybe the Nosferatu gameplay and sewers aren´t quite ready but i am pretty sure that they have record the Nosferatu reactions dialogues along with the others already so they don´t have bring all the voice actors back for just a few Nossie lines.

Wait are you saying the Malkavian's in Bloodlines 2 won't have Dementation and Obfuscate?  What are their disciplines then in Bloodlines 2?

Thanks for the clarification.  Before I played as a Malkavian in Bloodlines 1 I did some research and not all Malkavians use Dementation as a displine.  So I thought our Malk in Bloodlines 2 was from a sect of Malks that don't use Dementation.  But if auspex is as good as it was in the original game I am happy they get both disciplines plus the thinblood discipline.

Thanks now I have to go play Bloodlines 1 lol.

I probably missed something (I often do) - Auspex for me was not very useful other then to make hacking easier.  The rest was (to me) a cool but useless idea.  So, I am curious what you found it so useful for so I can experiment along that line the next time I play.

Well auspex is good for ranged combat and seeing through walls.  When I played a Tremere and Toreador I invested in Sneak.  Auspex made it easier to see if guards were nearby.  As for range I always level it too rank four.  I use auspex to max out Perception.

Now I am playing a Gangrel and they have no auspex as a discipline, so I have to pay close attention and hear a guards footsteps to see if their nearby.

I think the most effective way to use Auspex or Potence is by not raising Perception or Strength respectively.

The disciplines alone increase those stats, so if you invest in both the stats as well as the disciplines then you're wasting points. I run my main toreador with points in perception but I don't raise Auspex, I can still use the latter but for gunfights I depend on Celerity and my own natural perception; it's one way you can play it, for example.
